Forest schools

At Truro we have been doing forest schools activities with Mrs Oakes. Every week we are finding out about the environment. This activity was a 'treasure hunt' of nature. We were looking for different types of trees and seeds.

We have been exploring a range of weather conditions this term by investigating patterns and prints in the snow, splashing in muddy puddles and planting beans and vegetables to grow in our raised beds. Have a look at our photos above. 2013.

walk to school week at truro nursery school


Many parents walked with their children from the town and we also took part in a hosted walk where 2 members of staff met parents and children at the church and walked to school from there.  We also walked around the garden as part of walk to school week.

This year we have borrowed road safety equipment from our local road safety office. We had a zebra crossing, pelican lights, a lollipop and dressing up clothes. The children particularly enjoyed the traffic light (pictured).

GOT IT!!

CONGRATULATIONS! Our HEYPOS project has been approved! With a few changes in the group (Peter and Beata, you'll be always part of it)we will meet soon in Cornwall to plan the school year work.
